Foundations of Quality Child Care
Child care quality is a crucial factor in ensuring that children are safe, healthy, and developmentally supported while in care settings. High-quality child care provides a strong foundation for children’s growth and learning, influencing their well-being and success throughout their lives.
Child care quality also encompasses various strategies and initiatives designed to enhance the care provided to all children, not just those receiving child care subsidies. Lead Agencies use the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) to support quality improvement activities that benefit every child in care settings. These activities aim to elevate safety standards, promote healthy development, and create enriching environments that foster children’s potential.
By focusing on quality improvement, we strive to ensure that every child experiences a nurturing and effective care environment, laying the groundwork for a brighter future. Read more about Child Care Quality in Section 7 of the CCDF State Plan.
